The event is co-organized by the People's Committee of Da Nang with ADT and Vietnam Golf Association (VGA). The tournament brings together 120 ADT golfers and 20 domestic players to compete for a prize pool of $75,000 over three rounds.

Before the official tournament, there will be a friendly round for both pro and amateur golfers.

BRG Open Golf Championship is part of Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival with activities including international seminars on golf tourism development, sightseeing, and trial practices.

This is the first time Da Nang has organized a large-scale golf festival. This event, with the centerpiece being BRG Open Golf Championship, is expected to bring great media value, and attract more golf enthusiasts as well as international tourists to Vietnam.

At the event announcement Wednesday, Ken Kudo, ADT representative, said he hopes the 2022 BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang would be an important milestone for professional golf development in Vietnam.

Kudo said ADT golfers are eager to experience the golf course designed by legends Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman in BRG Da Nang Golf Resort.

The tournament will take place from Aug. 30 to Sep. 2.
