HCM CITY— The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee is collaborating with the Vietnam-USA Society English Centers for a free English speaking and writing skills programme called ‘Master IELTS in 5 days’ that seeks to benefit nearly 10,000 students across the country.

IELTS, or the International English Language Testing System, is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration.

The programme, part of the Project on English Capacity Improvement for Vietnamese Young People to be carried out in 2018-22, is expected to start in October and go on for a month.

The high school, university and college students chosen for it will study the programme’s five 90-minute lessons on the Zoom application.

Nearly 5,000 students in Hà Nội, HCM City, Đà Nẵng, and various provinces have registered for the programme so far.

The registration, at , ends on Wednesday (October 20).
