Tây Ninh to host Bà Đen Mountain Spring Festival during Tết

HCM CITY — Bà Đen (Black Lady) Mountain Spring Festival is taking place at Bà Đen Mountain national tourism site in the southern province of Tây Ninh.

The festival will kick off at the foot of the mountain on January 25, featuring performances of kylin-dragon dances and traditional music and arts, a firework show and various festive celebration events.

The annual festival themed Hương Sắc Tây Ninh (The Scent and Beauty of Tây Ninh) is organised by the provincial People’s Committee in coordination with Sun Group.

It is expected to attract tourists and pilgrims for sightseeing and praying for peace, good fortune and prosperity in the first days of Tết (Lunar New Year).

Bà Đen Mountain national tourist site will be embellished with more than 400,000 plants and flowers, including 100,000 tulips, during the festival and will open from 5 am to 10 pm.

Bà Đen (Black Lady) Mountain Spring Festival will last until February 6.

Tây Ninh Province welcomed 4.5 million visitors last year, a three-fold increase compared to the previous year.

Tourism revenue rose by 130 per cent to reach VNĐ1.4 trillion (US$53 million) last year. — VNS
