A company announcement said that due to order issues affecting production plans, workers from certain workshops would need to work alternative days from December 1 to February 20 next year, local media reported. With such a timeline, workers would have 14 days off in total.

The company has promised to pay workers VND180,000 ($7.25) for each day off.

The HCMC Federation of Labor said around 20,000 workers would work with the new schedule.

Pouyuen Vietnam currently has over 50,000 workers, the most populated workplace in HCMC.
