Vacationers throng Hanoi streets, tourist spots
Walking-only streets, shopping malls, amusement parks, and zoos are packed with people enjoying the four-day vacation.
During the Reunification Day – Labor Day holidays, people are gathering on the walking streets around Hoan Kiem Lake where there are many cultural activities on offer. There will be a four-day holiday for Reunification Day and Labor Day (April 30 and May 1) since they both fall on the weekend.
People wait in long queues to buy tickets to enter the Temple of Literature on Sunday morning.
The temple entrance is always filled with visitors.

While many people in Hanoi have gone to their hometowns or are traveling, people from other provinces and cities are coming to the capital. From 9 a.m. the parking lot at the Thu Le Zoo in Cau Giay District is packed with people.
There was hardly any space left in the zoo as most families brought their children to see the animals.
It was raining and windy early in the morning. After 9 a.m. it became a bit sunny though the weather was still cool, and people took their children out.
It is expected that during the holidays the zoo will receive around 100,000 visitors.
A newly opened mall in Nam Tu Liem District is attracting a large number of people who come for shopping and entertainment.
15 km away, another mall is also packed with people.
