Việt Nam on Friday confirmed 2,227 new COVID-19 infections and no fatal cases.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam on Friday confirmed 2,227 new COVID-19 infections and no fatal cases.
There was one imported case and 1,517 transmissions were detected in the community.
Hà Nội registered the highest daily case count with 495 new infections, followed by Nghệ An Province with 123 and Phú Thọ with 120.
Other new transmissions were found in Đắk Lắk (114), Quảng Ninh (96), Yên Bái (88), Tuyên Quang (82), Vĩnh Phúc (81), Thái Bình (70), Bắc Ninh (70), Quảng Bình (60), Bắc Kạn (52), Lào Cai (51), Thái Nguyên (51), Nam Định (51), Lâm Đồng (39), Sơn La (37), HCM City (36), Hưng Yên (35), Đà Nẵng (34), Hải Dương (33), Lạng Sơn (29), Hà Nam (29), Bình Dương (28), Hải Phòng (25), Hòa Bình (24), Ninh Bình (23), Gia Lai (22), Hà Tĩnh (21), Hà Giang (21), Thanh Hóa (21), Bình Phước (21), Quảng Trị (15), Cao Bằng (14), Bắc Giang (13), Điện Biên (13), Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu (11), Quảng Ngãi (11), Lai Châu (11), Đắk Nông (10), Thừa Thiên-Huế (9), Bến Tre (6), Tây Ninh (6), Bình Định (5), Khánh Hòa (5), Phú Yên (3), Vĩnh Long (3), Long An (2), Đồng Tháp (2), Cà Mau (2), Bình Thuận (1), Kiên Giang (1) and Bạc Liêu (1).
Bắc Giang Province’s Department of Health on Friday registered an additional 443 infections on the COVID-19 National Case Management System after reviewing information.
The national caseload since the start of the pandemic now stands at 10,693,141. In the past week, the country saw an average of 2,796 new infections daily.
The total number of COVID-related fatalities in Việt Nam remains at 43,060, or 0.4 per cent of total infections.
A further 9,065 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 9,344,029.
More than 216.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country to date, of which over 2.1 million have been given to children aged 5 to 11.
