Việt Nam records 5,109 COVID cases on Saturday
This brings the total number of COVID transmissions to 10,642,060 cases since the start of the pandemic.

HÀ NỘI — There were 5,109 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Việt Nam over the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of COVID transmissions to 10,642,060 since the start of the pandemic.
All cases were local infections, of which Hà Nội and Phú Thọ recorded the most with 837 and 379, respectively.
The remaining infections were recorded in Yên Bái (250), Nghệ An (245), Quảng Ninh (209), Lào Cai (202), Thái Bình (183), Tuyên Quang (180), Bắc Ninh (174), Nam Định (163), Hưng Yên (163), Thái Nguyên (159), Bắc Kạn (150), Vĩnh Phúc (150), Gia Lai (144), Quảng Bình (114), Ninh Bình (97), Lâm Đồng (95), Hà Tĩnh (86), Hải Dương (77), Sơn La (76), Hồ Chí Minh City (71), Lai Châu (68), Cao Bằng (68), Bắc Giang (67), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (62), Hà Nam (60), Hà Giang (57), Lạng Sơn (49), Thanh Hóa (47), Đắk Nông (45), Vĩnh Long (35), Bình Phước (34), Điện Biên (31), Đà Nẵng (30), Quảng Trị (28), Bình Định (25), Tây Ninh (25), Hòa Bình (22), Bình Dương (18), Quảng Ngãi (17), Phú Yên (17), Thừa Thiên Huế (16), Bến Tre (16), Hải Phòng (12), Quảng Nam (11), An Giang (8 ), Cà Mau (8), Khánh Hòa (6), Long An (4), Đồng Tháp (4), Kiên Giang (4), Đồng Nai (3), Hậu Giang (3), Bạc Liêu (3) and Trà Vinh (2).
16,727 patients recovered from COVID on Saturday, bringing the total recoveries to 9,262,255 since the pandemic began.
There are currently 475 severe cases, including two on life support.
Three deaths from COVID-19 were confirmed. The pandemic has now claimed 43,041 lives, approximately 0.4 per cent of total cases.
241,434 doses of vaccine were administered on Saturday, bringing the total to 214.7 million doses nationwide.VNS
