Security camera footage shows Vu Trong Dam repeatedly slapping and kicking the girl in a bookstore in the Linh Dam urban area, police said.

The little girl accidently threw a ball at Dam's face. Enraged, he slapped and kicked her repeatedly, ignoring her tears and panic. Dam was in the playing area to look after his own child.

After the girl showed abnormal behavior back in her house, the family requested to see the camera footage.

Police said Thursday afternoon that they are investigating the assault.
