Man arrested for sexual misconduct with child

Huynh Duc Cuong, 42, a resident in Duy Nghia Commune of Duy Xuyen District in Quang Nam Province, is under investigation for "engaging in sexual intercourse or other sexual activities with a person aged from 13 to under 16."

Investigators said last June, Cuong got in touch with a 14-year-old boy via social media and the two later agreed to have sexual intercourse.

Cuong arranged to meet the boy and another man at a hotel in Huong An Town of Que Son District on Jan 5.

As he was booking the room and waiting for the others to arrive, Cuong was arrested.

He told police he had engaged in sexual intercourse with other men and teenage boys in the province and that among them, two had HIV.

Examinations revealed him to be HIV positive.

According to existing law, he could face one to five years in prison.
