HCMC considers ban on private buses in inner areas
It is currently collecting feedback on the proposal from related units.
The ban is expected to be effected in two phases, with sleeper buses, which usually have a capacity of 45-52 prohibited in the first phase from now through 2025.
In the second phase from 2025, all buses with more than 30 seats will be banned, except those serving public transport, hearses and official vehicles.
Currently transport operators pick up and drop off passengers all over the place, badly affecting traffic.
There are 107 designated points for this, but many disdain regulations.
