Da Lat eyes new night market, pedestrians-only street to attract tourists
To cost VND1.6 trillion ($68.6 million) they will come up next to Cam Ly Stream that drains into Xuan Huong Lake.
The market is expected to share the crowds that throng the existing night market in the Hoa Binh area and ease the load on it.
The project would also include public parks.
Situated on a plateau around 1,500 meters above sea level, Da Lat is popular for its year-round cool climate, pine forests, misty landscapes, and architectural gems from the colonial era.
It received seven million tourists in 2019, the year before Covid-19 broke out and decimated travel.
