South Korea province to resume int'l flights to Vietnam hotspots
In addition to Vietnamese tourist hotspots, flights from Muan Airport to Bangkok and Ulaanbaatar will be resumed next month, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The move came as the number of South Korean tourists to Vietnam, Thailand and Mongolia have been on the rise after travel restrictions were lifted.
In the first five months of this year, Vietnam welcomed 365,000 foreign tourist arrivals, up 4.5 times year-on-year, according to the General Statistics Office.
South Korea had the largest number of visitors to Vietnam with over 28,600.
On March 15, the government allowed quarantine-free entry and resumed its visa waiver for citizens of 24 countries, including Japan, South Korea and some European economies.
It has also removed most other entry restrictions like medical declaration and Covid tests.
