Film, TV exhibition returns to HCM City after 2 years
The International Film and Television Exhibition, which will be held in HCM City from June 9 to 11 after a two-year gap due to COVID-19, promises to remain an important bridge between the domestic and international film and television industries.
HCM CITY — The International Film and Television Exhibition, which will be held in HCM City from June 9 to 11 after a two-year gap due to COVID-19, promises to remain an important bridge between the domestic and international film and television industries.
According to the organisers, audiences’ behaviours and habits have undergone great changes after two years of the pandemic, and, realising that trend, Telefilm Vietnam 2022 would focus on unique ideas and programme formats.
It has attracted exhibitors from the US, Germany, Russia, Japan, South Korea, India, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong besides Việt Nam.
Regular participants like KOCCA, Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc., Media Quiz International Holdings Ltd, China Huace Film&TV Co., Ltd., Zoland Distribution, and GMA Network Inc will introduce their latest movies and TV shows.
The event’s highlights will include the Korean zone with booths set up by the Korea Creative Content Agency Vietnam Office (KOCCA Vietnam), Korea Radio Promotion Association, National IT Industry Promotion Agency and others.
Under the theme Korean Cultural Wave Festival in Việt Nam- Hallyu Festival, KOCCA will bring cartoons, character copyrights, mobile game software, music, fashion, broadcasting, and Hallyu week.
Local and foreign broadcasters, film producers and distributors, television content and technology creators, and individuals and businesses interested in learning about TV application systems, technological achievements, specialised future TV channels, and modern post-production special effects will take part.
The exhibition will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre.
It will provide local broadcasters updates on film and television trends and the latest filmmaking processes and production techniques.
This year the exhibition will also be held online to offer attendees greater opportunities to meet with potential partners, source products, seek agents and distributors, and enhance international co-operation.
