Van Loi Steel Group was originally developed from Van Loi Co., Ltd incorporated under the license No.00901/GP-UB dated 21/3/1994 (in lieu of the decision No.2511/QD-UB dated 5/7/1993) by the People's Committee of Hanoi City, business registration certificate No.044919 dated 8/7/1993 issued by the Hanoi Economic Arbitrator (presently Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment). Present head office is located at No.62 Yen Phu street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city (old head office at 177A Le Duan - Hai Ba Trung district - Hanoi).

Van Loi Co., Ltd is presently the parent company with such functions as management and supervision of member companies; Financial investment and construction of projects; Steel and production materials import.

Member companies directly under Van Loi Co., Ltd include: One-member limited companies, joint stock companies where Van Loi Co., Ltd occupies governing stock. These companies directly develop factory construction projects and operate production and business of factories upon completion.

Over 13 years of formation and development, so far, Van Loi Steel Group has a wide range of experience operating in steel production and business in the Northern Vietnam, acts as one of the leading steel suppliers in Vietnam and one of the important trade partners of many big steel companies in the world.

Originating from an enterprise specializing steel business and import in Vietnam: importing sheet steel for shipbuilding, structural sheet steel, hot and cold rolled steel, fabricated steel, shape steel, scrap steel, secondary steel, this Group has gone deep into steel production sector to stabilize business operation and gain sustainable development.

In 2000, Nam Do hot rolled reinforced concrete steel production factory was officially formed and supplied Vietnam market with steel bearing exclusive trademark NSC. NSC steel is produced on an advanced technology line of Japan with capacity of 180,000 tons/year, quality control system in accordance with international standard ISO 9001:2000. Steel rolling factory is funded with short-term and medium-term capital by Vietcombank. In the first stage of establishment, Nam Do Steel has stocks of many members. By 2005, Nam Do Steel was officially under the ownership of the Group. Construction steel product NSC has been provided for many key national works such as My Dinh National Stadium, APEC14-2006 International Conference Center and exported to Canada market and accepted.

In 2003, the Group invested and built Van Loi Steel Rough Draft Treatment Factory - 1st stage with capacity of 300,000 tons/year with modern technology and synchronous transfer of China. Van Loi Steel Rough Draft Treatment Factory is funded by the two largest state-owned banks of Vietnam (namely Vietcombank and Agribank) with long-term and short-term capital and officially has gone into operation since September 2006.
